This role will be based out of UK (Manchester office). Our installation crews attend sites across UK, Ireland and Europe. and then will work on our sites with an experienced Foreman and crew to carry out mechanical installation tasks – installing pipework, fittings etc. Travel allowance to site is provided by the company. There is a pay scale in place for this position which includes payment for travel to and from work in a company vehicle.

We are internationally approved to Design, Manufacture, Install, Service & Commission to all standards & have experience in Fire Sprinkler Protection, Foam enhanced Fire Protection, Gas Suppression, Mist Protection, & Special Hazard Fire Protection. Due to continued growth Writech are seeking to recruit a number of Installation Operatives to work in our installation department with an immediate start.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work as part of a team under the supervision of the Installation Foreman,
  • Be open to learning and continual improvement.
  • Assembling and installing pipework and fittings as per company’s standard operating procedures and in-house training
  • Attend industry/health & safety training courses as required

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be willing to learn and to stay away depending on site location.
  • Fire sprinkler experience is essential.
  • Be comfortable working at heights.
  • Flexible regarding working hours and available for overtime when needed.
  • Excellent safety practices
  • Hold a valid CSCS Pass and Valid MEWP ticket
  • Previous experience on construction sites
  • Full Driving Licence and clean driving history.

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Relevant trade qualification an advantage

Hours: Working hours vary per day depending on the nature of the project and travel distance however the minimum working week is 42.5 hours. Site time and travel allowance is paid.
