THE ROLE

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Fault finding and installation of pumps, engines, and motors.

Filling out a report after each site visit on a Company iPad.

Compiling detailed work orders for items requiring repair onsite.

Full Drivers Licence for a minimum of 12 months

THE ROLE
As a Revit Technician, you will work closely with our high-profile client base to produce detailed Revit drawings for fire protection sprinkler systems. You will assist the design team in creating accurate 2D and 3D drawings for Electrical and Mechanical installation work, ensuring that all drawings adhere to the highest quality standards and procedures. You will also assist in updating and revising drawings based on feedback from the Operations and Installation teams. This role involves maintaining project documentation and supporting the team in meeting project deadlines and client expectations.

- Design fire protection sprinkler systems for high-profile clients.
- Produce REVIT drawings for Electrical and Mechanical installation work.
- Ensure that standards are adhered to and that drawings produced are of the highest quality, all in accordance with Q.A. procedures.
- Creating Hydraulic Calculations using industry-approved software.
- Planning project programs/scheduling.
- Preparing submittals.
- Work closely with the Operations and Installation teams to communicate, problem solve and update drawings for all coordination and design issues.

THE ROLE
The Design Manager will support the team in enhancing our Design activities. The Design Manager will be responsible for leading, managing, coaching, mentoring, training, and supporting a team of Design Engineers / CAD Technicians to maximise their full potential, implementing training and coaching programmes to fulfil operational requirements in line with Company strategy, policies, procedures, and processes. The Design Manager will manage the recruitment, onboarding, performance management, retention, employee engagement and learning development of the Design team.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Management of drawing standards and specifications.
- Manage and coordinate LCBP standards and inspection and accreditation process.
- Development and updating of Design SOP’s, Manuals, Procedures for your Department in line with legislative, regulatory, Company and Client requirements.
- Schedule and plan for upcoming works and provide updates to relevant Departments.
- Ensure all designs are tracked, monitored, planned and progress updated in relevant project management schedules and systems.
- Develop and implement standard design tools to build efficiencies in project execution.
- Demonstrating accountability and ownership for team performance, working with team on deliverables and liaising with functional management to resolve issues.
- Deliver internal and external communications to all stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Promote and maintain a positive HSEQ culture and safe work environment in conjunction with the Writech Health & Safety Statement and support Writech’s CSR initiatives.
- Proactively engage in all Company lead initiatives while ensuring best practice standards are promoted and maintained.
- Ensure all written documentation is accurate, timely and legible, keeping all records up to date at all times.
- Minimum 5years Fire Sprinkler Design Experience
- Experience using Revit
- Experience with BIM (Building Information Modelling) workflows
- Proven record of building and sustaining effective and professional working relationships; being a trusted advisor to colleagues
- Excellent time management, attention to detail, and reliability skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in leading and managing design teams.
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards.

This role will be based out of UK (Manchester office). Our installation crews attend sites across UK, Ireland and Europe. and then will work on our sites with an experienced Foreperson and crew to carry out mechanical installation tasks – installing pipework, fittings etc. Travel allowance to site is provided by the company. There is a pay scale in place for this position which includes payment for travel to and from work in a company vehicle.

- Attend industry/health & safety training courses as required

Based in our Service Department in Mullingar Co. Westmeath. It is a busy department responsible for servicing and maintenance, breakdowns and emergency calls therefore quick reactions and efficient working is essential. The role involves significant interaction with our servicing personnel, suppliers and customers. The position is demanding with a large cross section of responsibilities and a sense of urgency is required at all times. Additionally mechanical understanding would be an advantage but is not essential for this role.
